Simplemente María is a Mexican telenovela produced by Ignacio Sada Madero for Televisa and originally broadcast on Las Estrellas from November 9, 2015, to July 31, 2016. It is a remake of the 1989 telenovela of the same name, based on the original story by Celia Alcántara. Adapted by Gabriela Ortigoza and Alberto Gómez, and directed by Mónica Miguel and Claudio Reyes Rubio, it stars Claudia Álvarez, José Ron, Ferdinando Valencia, Arleth Terán, Ana Martín, René Strickler, Norma Herrera, and Carmen Becerra. The story follows María Flores, a humble young woman who moves to Mexico City seeking a better future. After being abandoned while pregnant, she raises her son alone and works as a seamstress to support them. Through determination and talent, María becomes a successful fashion designer while overcoming poverty, prejudice, betrayal, and heartbreak. Her journey is one of resilience, sacrifice, and the pursuit of love, dignity, and a better life.
